| TALKING MINIMALISM, ALEXA CHUNG AND JEWELS WITH PAOLA |

TJF: How did P D Paola come about?

PS: P D PAOLA began in Barcelona as a style of life. Nowadays, any woman who loves fashion creates her own style, her own identity. We design pieces that tell a story based in a setting where minimalism coexists with the latest trends.

TJF: What is the inspiration behind your designs? And where do you find inspiration?

PS: P D PAOLA believes in jewelry as a form of expression, in which an infinite combination of materials and elements create a complicity between jewelry and trend. We create different collections ranging from the most essential, to the most contemporary. The carefully-selected materials are the perfect ingredient in making each piece unique..

TJF: Does your collection reflect the latest trends?

PS: We design small treasures for today’s women, elegant, simple and above all, always evolving. With a high number of collection releases per year, P D PAOLA bases its creations on the latest trends, while preserving its minimalist and elegant background.

TJF: What are your favourite pieces?

PS: Grand Pacific earrings, Safari earrings and Bob ring are my favourites.

TJF: How would you describe your personal style?

PS: I consider myself very basic and timeless in terms of style. I like to dress simple and just add little details to the look.

TJF: Who’s your muse?

PS: Alexa Chung.

TJF: Is there a quote or saying that you live by?

PS: No one is you and that is your power.

TJF: What’s your favourite city in the world?

PS: Barcelona is inspiring and moving, I love it.

TJF: What’s your favourite flower?

PS: Calla Lily

TJF: What’s the best part about being a designer? And the worst?

PS: It’s exciting, design has no limits. The best part of it is the fact of being the owner of your own ideas, knowing you can explore with no strings attached.

TJF: If you weren’t a jewelry designer, what would you most likely be?

PS: I would be an architect.
